Common Questions

Everything you need to know about the Birds Nest system.

The Mission
What is Birds Nest Club?

Birds Nest Club is a premium, technology-driven lodging network built specifically for working aviation crew. We provide reliable, high-quality rest near major airport hubs, managed via a seamless digital platform.

How is this different from a crashpad?

Most crashpads are unmanaged, crowded, and rely on "hot bedding" or "first-come-first-served." Birds Nest Club is a professional system. Every bed is secured when booked, rooms are professionally cleaned to hotel standards, and everything is managed through our App. We prioritize privacy, security, and quiet.

Membership & Access
Who can join?

We are strictly crew-only. Membership is open to active working commercial airline pilots, flight attendants, and support operations. Every applicant must pass a manual verification of their airline credentials to ensure the safety and focus of our community.

How does the 15+5 night model work?

Your monthly subscription includes 15 "Base Nights" per month. If you have an unusually high-density month, you can purchase a "5-Night Add-on" to extend your access. To ensure everyone has a fair chance to rest, we have a 5-night maximum for any single consecutive stay.

How do I book a room?

Once you are a verified member, you log into the BNC Dashboard. You can see real-time availability and book your bed instantly—even if you just landed and didn't know you needed a room until now.

Operations
What about transportation?

Birds Nest Club is actively exploring transportation support. Depending on your tier and the pilot location, options may include monthly ride credits, shuttle partnerships, or preferred pickup access between the airport and your BNC location.

Are guests allowed?

No. To maintain the highest levels of security and a quiet environment for resting crew, we have a strict "no-guests" policy. Birds Nest is for verified members only.

What if my flight is delayed?

Our system is built for delays. Every member gets one "Grace Pass" per month for a no-show due to scheduling chaos. After that, a no-show simply deducts one night from your balance. No extra fees, no stress.

Cancellations & Night Allotment
How are my 15 nights counted each month?

Every subscription tier starts with 15 base nights per month. A night is counted when you check in to a BNC property. If you book a night and do not cancel before the 2-hour window prior to your reservation time, that night is counted as used — whether you showed up or not.

What happens if I cancel my reservation?

You must cancel at least 2 hours before your reservation time to avoid using a night. Cancel before the window and the night is returned to your balance. Cancel after the window or simply not show up and the night is deducted — no exceptions, but read the Grace Pass answer below.

What is the Grace Pass?

Every member receives one free Grace Pass per month. If life happens — a delay, a last-minute schedule change, or an IROPS situation causes you to no-show — your Grace Pass automatically absorbs that night at no cost to your balance. It resets at the start of each billing cycle. There is a maximum of one Grace Pass per month.

What if I need more than 15 nights in a month?

You can purchase a 5-Night Add-On block through the member portal. After that, additional single nights can be purchased one at a time. Add-on pricing does not change your base subscription rate.

What does the 85% capacity alert mean?

When a property reaches 85% bed occupancy, all members at that location receive an automatic notification. This is a transparency measure — not a lockout. It means beds are filling up and you should check availability before heading over. We built this so there are never any 2AM surprises.
